Calibre Personal Training – Terms and Conditions

By booking a session or purchasing a package, the client agrees to these terms. These terms apply to all one-to-one training sessions and related services provided by Calibre (operated by Mo Jammeh).

1. Services

Training is delivered in person at agreed locations or online as arranged. Sessions last the duration stated at booking. Programmes are designed for the individual client and are not transferable.

2. Booking and Payment

Sessions must be booked in advance. Package payments are due in full before the first session of that package begins. Single sessions are payable at the time of booking. Prices are as quoted at the time of purchase.

Packages may be fixed-term or monthly. Fixed-term packages run for the period stated at purchase, and all sessions in a fixed-term package must be used within that period (for example, a package of 2 sessions per week for 8 weeks must be used within those 8 weeks). Monthly packages continue on a recurring basis until cancelled in accordance with these terms.

3. Cancellation by the Client

The client may cancel or reschedule a session with at least 24 hours’ notice at no charge. Notice of less than 24 hours counts as a missed session under clause 4. Same-day cancellations or failures to attend are treated as missed sessions.

4. Missed Sessions and Three-Strike Rule

A missed session is any session the client does not attend, or cancels with less than 24 hours’ notice.

Each missed session counts as one strike. The client is notified in writing (email or message) after each strike, with the running total stated.

Three strikes forfeit the current package period with no refund.

  • Fixed-term packages: Strikes apply only to the current package. If a client records three strikes during a single fixed-term package, the remaining sessions in that package are forfeited with no refund and no transfer. The package is treated as ended. This applies in place of the refund for unused sessions in clause 9.
  • Monthly packages: Strikes apply within each monthly billing period. If a client records three strikes in any single monthly period, the remaining sessions for that month are forfeited with no refund and no transfer.

In both cases, the client may continue training only by booking and paying for individual single sessions once the current package period has been forfeited.

Strikes reset to zero at the start of any new fixed-term package or at the start of each new monthly billing period. They do not carry forward.

Illness, injury or a genuine emergency may be considered for a waiver of a strike if the client provides supporting evidence promptly (before the next scheduled session). A waiver is at the coach’s reasonable discretion. Even if a strike is waived, the session itself is treated as used and is not refunded or added back.

Unused sessions expire at the end of the relevant package period. Forfeited sessions cannot be restored except by purchasing single sessions or a new package.

5. Cancellation by the Coach

If the coach cancels a session, the client will be offered a rescheduled session at a mutually convenient time or a full refund of the session fee. Coach cancellations do not count as strikes against the client. Repeated coach cancellations without reasonable cause may entitle the client to terminate a package and receive a pro-rata refund of unused sessions.

6. Client Responsibilities

The client confirms they are fit to exercise and will disclose any medical conditions, injuries or medications that may affect training. The client must follow reasonable instructions during sessions and is responsible for their own safety outside the session. Appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn.

7. Health and Liability

Training involves physical activity and carries inherent risks. The client participates at their own risk. Calibre’s liability is limited to the cost of the session or package purchased, except where liability cannot be excluded by law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence).

8. Data and Privacy

Personal information is used only to deliver training and for related administration. It will not be shared with third parties except as required by law or with the client’s consent. Clients may request access to or deletion of their data.

9. Termination and early cancellation

Either party may end the training relationship by giving written notice (email or message).

14-day cancellation right

Where a package is bought online or by payment link, the client may cancel within 14 days of purchase. If the client asked for sessions to start within those 14 days, they pay only for sessions already used, charged at the block’s own per-session rate (8, 12 or 16 weeks: £32, £30 or £28 a session for 1 session a week; £29, £29 or £28 a session for 2 sessions a week), and the rest is refunded. The refund will never be less than £0, and no further charge is due.

Fixed-term packages

If the client cancels partway through a fixed-term package after the 14-day cancellation period, sessions already used are charged at the single-session rate (£35 per session) and the balance of the package price is refunded. The package ends on the effective date of cancellation. The client may resume training only by purchasing a new package or booking single sessions.

Monthly packages

Monthly packages must be cancelled before the next billing date. The package continues until the end of the current monthly billing period, and no further charges are made after that period. Sessions already paid for in the current month that remain unused are forfeited with no refund. The client may resume training only by purchasing a new package or booking single sessions.

Three-strike interaction

If the client has already reached three strikes in the current package or monthly period, the package (or that month) is already forfeited under clause 4. A subsequent cancellation notice does not restore any forfeited sessions or create a right to a refund.

Coach-initiated termination

On termination by the coach for reasons other than client breach, a pro-rata refund of any unused sessions will be issued.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

11. Changes

These terms may be updated. Clients will be notified of material changes and continued use of services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
